Internationaler Tag der humanitären Hilfe: Welt im Krisenmodus

Der 19. August ist Welttag der humanitären Hilfe – ein Tag, der nicht nur an die Millionen Menschen in Not erinnert, sondern vor allem denjenigen gewidmet ist, die sich unter schwierigsten Bedingungen tagtäglich für diese Menschen einsetzen: humanitäre Helfer_innen weltweit. Der heutige Tag würdigt ihren Einsatz und erinnert an alle verletzten und getöteten Helfer_innen. Er appelliert an die Bedeutung von Solidarität und Menschlichkeit in einer zunehmend polarisierten Welt – eine Botschaft, die heute dringender ist denn je.
